transferring csv files to mysql db

ok, I'm using php with mysql. I am trying to transfer a csv file from my home computer into a mysql database on a remote server. I'm basically trying to transfer a file with a list of ip addresses to help me block scammers from other countries like Nigeria and Ghana. I am quite sure that the path of the file on my computer is correct, but I still get the same error message. If someone could just show me where I am going wrong it would be greatly appreciated. Here is the error message I am getting along with the coding that I believe is correct. Thanks in advance.

ERROR 2 (HY000): File 'C:/country/ip-to-country.csv' not found (Errcode: 2)

LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE "C:/country/ip-to-country.csv" INTO
TABLE country_list FIELDS TERMINATED BY ',' ENCLOSED BY '"'
ESCAPED BY '\' LINES TERMINATED BY '\r\n';

Hmm...are you trying this SQL on the server:

LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE "C:/country/ip-to-country.csv" INTO
TABLE country_list FIELDS TERMINATED BY ',' ENCLOSED BY '"'
ESCAPED BY '\' LINES TERMINATED BY '\r\n';

but the file is on your local computer? That would be the problem then. You'd need to upload the file to the server and make sure you have the path to it correct in your query.

Uh, isn't it supposed to be C:\country\ip-to-country.csv instead of C:/country/ip-to-country.csv
