(not php?) what is this in url: $spindb.query.main.cmview

I am seeing urls like this:

http://123abcsomesite.com/$spindb.query.main.cmview

I'm curious as to what software or approach is being used. I can't find any useful info so I'm hoping one of the knowledgeable people who read this forum can help me.

It's SpinDB. I guess it's a database that ties in closely to the webserver.

$spindb.query.main.cmview

$spindb is the activator
query is the command
main is the table
and cmview is the field.

At least that's my guess about it. I don't know Italian :/

So far it seems to involve spindb.dll and is associated w/ Spinnaker(?) but I'm having difficulty making connection between company or software called Spinnaker and spindb. And I still have no idea what it is (I mean, I have guesses about how it works, but I'd like to read about it).
