[RESOLVED] Testing scripts on my server (XP)

by following this great online tutorial

I have got to the stage where I run some scripts on my server.

Today is <? print strftime("%m/%d/%Y"); ?>

when i run the page all i get is "Today is" rest is blank(white psace).

I tested phpinfo.php it came up with results fine. being newbee i dunno whats wrong because i followed the instuctions..

I think it should be:

Today is <?= print strftime("%m/%d/%Y"); ?> 

or like:

Today is <?php  print strftime("%m/%d/%Y"); ?>

hey man.. thanks i had made a terrible mistake..

I renamed php.ini-recommanded instead of PHP.ini-dist. i renamed PHP.ini-dist n works fine. my bad.
