Whats a good book for php newbs w/o coding experience?

Ive seen the question asked "whats a good php books for newbs" asked many times but that doesnt help me since most of the books recommended are for people who have some sort of programming knowledge. I want to know if anyone knows any php book out there for the total absolute beginner to programming.

If there isnt such a book, whats the closest book to it?

I was learning python, I finished up to the 4th chapter on the book and it was strings, tuples and loops. Thats all the experience I have.

ummm I'm not sure if there is a good book for complete "newbs". U need to already know the basics for most.
Before I started PHP, i learned: Q-basic, Visual Basic, Flash ActionScript, C++, HTML, Javascript, CSS, TI-Basic, SHTML, and some JSP and ASP. So Yeah, the books were pretty helpful for me since I knew what I was doing.

So, I recommend You take several beginners online tutorials before you get a book. Just search "PHP tutorials" on Yahoo or something.

Have a read of the attached excerpts from Kevin Yank's book - it's for absolute beginners. If you like it then buy the book. Have a look around sitepoint as many of their books have sample chapters you can donwload to see if it's right for you.

Ive got a beginning PHP5 book published by wrox press here that looks ok... Never read it though. You might also try here... its free, and simple.
