mysql migration 5.1.1

Hi!
I got a problem with version mysql 5.1.1
I had to migrate from 4.0.20 a tabla that has autoincrement column
Once in the new version I got mysql 1264 error

Has anybody experienced the same problem ?

Error: 1264 SQLSTATE: 22003 (ER_WARN_DATA_OUT_OF_RANGE)
Message: Out of range value for column '%s' at row %ld

which suggests that the values in the table are above the range of the integer column type you are using.

I created the database in the mysql 5 version pasting the dump script generated in the old version mysql 4 and work ok.

My table has 5 records. The next autoincrement id is 16. I got the error when I try to insert a new record with my application. I tried to insert the same record using pypMyAdmin and got the same error.

I understand the error but I can't understand why it is poping up

Any suggestions ...
