[RESOLVED] Installing CMS Error

Hi all,

With each CMS system I install I get an error relating to unable to write to a certain file.

For example when I try to install xoops I get this...
Warning: copy(../mainfile.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\quickhelp\cms\xoops\html\install\class\mainfilemanager.php on line 52

Why do I get such errors? Only happens after database, etc all set up and all working fine.

You need write permissions set on the directory in question.

Hi,

I'm running on Windows XP. Each time I uncheck the Read-Only on the folder it returns to the Checked state.

Why is this? I applied Full Control to all users but it still returns to Read Only checked state.

SOLVED:....Change in IIS(select write in properties)
