I would like to know whether PHP has a set of API's that I can make use of. If there is, could you refer me to the website. I'm more interested in knowing if there's a PHP API which can help me detect and communicate with USB ports and devices. Please help me if you know anything. Thanks!

PHP does not have USB ports and device APIs. But you can always use command line execution.
