[RESOLVED] Daily Backup?

In phpMyAdmin there is an export feature. I use this (and save to disk) to perform a backup. Is there a script that anyone knows of that will perform this every 24 hours? I know I can use meta-refresh tags to refresh the page every 24 hours.

On the same note, does anyone know a better or another way to perform a backup every 24 hours?

PHPMyAdmin is not usable for any critical purpose, especially backup/restore.

Instead use a cron job which runs mysqldump - this will work.

I've seen at least one case where PHPMyAdmin silently truncates the backup.

Thank you both for the input. I'll look at the link. I did find a program that says it'll do a backup on a schedule and save it locally on my computer, but I'm having problems getting it to work. I'm going to try a little bit more but if I can't get it soon then I'll give up on it. The program is "DumpTimer". If anyone knows about this program, please let me know what they think of it.
