Embedding PHP with HTML

Hello,

What is the proper way to embed your PHP code into a HTML file. The reason that I am asking is that I developed my web site with an HTML template. But it is necessary form to PHP with MYSQL for logon and security reasons. :eek:

I would really appreciate some good advise.

anywhere you want.

be advised that some PHP fucntions deal with headers (like [man]header[/man]). these can only be called before output is sent to the browser. you can control this via the Output Control Functions.

Hi,

In general PHP code would go in the body of the html and you save the page as .php rather than .html
But the php can also be in the body or any other area of the page. Just ensure it is between php tags...<?php code goes here ?>

php will only output something when you tell it to. So it doesn't matter where you put your php code, it wouldn't affect the html.

Keep in mind php code executes on the web server, not in your browser, and your page must have a .php extension.
