Uploading files and autorename

Hello,

I am looking for some help in writing a script that would enable me to upload file to my server and then autorename it by simply adding a date at the end.

So for example I would be uploading a file called filname.html and after uploa the script would rename the file to filname110106.html

If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly apreciate it.

and what happens if two users upload a file with the same name on the same date? i suggest you use timestamps instead of the date:

move_uploaded_file($_FILES['file']['tmp_name'], '/path/' . time() . '_' . $_FILES['file']['name']);
