i have cygwin on my windows system with tar. How do i extract a .tgz file?

winzip and 7zip should be able to extract .tgz, I think 😕

Winzip no... 7zip should do it....
Although 7zip doesn't specify that they support TGZ, they do support TAR and GZ compression... so it might...
but ZipGenius definately does it (I use it)...
