Downloading files

I have succesfully been able to write a program that uploads a Picture to the Host and write a page inorder to view the pictures.

i.e.

echo "<align='center'><img src='$Pix' border='1' height='100' width='200'>";

THis works well.

I have tried to develop the upload program So I can upload a Word document, which works well. However, now I have uploaded I have no idea how to download it so I can read the file or preferably click on an icon in order to open it in say Word..

I tried

echo "<align='center'><img src='$CV' >";

But this doesn't work..

can anyone guide me..

U used <img src> which is to display images only. You need to use <a href='$CV'>$CV</a> (I assume u queried the result from database and assigned it to cv var).

Thanks, this is good and I can download, is there any way I can have the file open up when I clock it, either in word OR on an page ?

If you want it on a web page you should make it a html-document. It's, by far, the easiest way.
I guess it downloads or opens depending on the user's web browser preferences.
