PHP 5 update install

I just read that there is an update to PHP5.

I just installed PHP 5 and wish to install the update.

Would I just copy all files - except the php.ini - into the directory where I kept the old stuff?

i would copy over the new php.ini as well and reset any settings you had. there may be new/changed directives that the new version needs.
