I know PHP6 is probably a ways off, but it's interesting that they're already adding documentation for it:

So... any word on if PHP 6 is gonna be released in 2006 or will we be waiting a while longer?

And, if they're pumping out ver. 6 now, is it even worth it to ask hosts to upgrade to PHP5?

PHP 6 is a long while off yet. I'd say at least 2-3yrs min before even a Beta another 1-2yrs before something is seen on a host. Most of the documentation that has been added however is from features that have already been confirmed and probably already started work on. You can view a list of proposed features http://www.php.net/%7Ederick/meeting-notes.html probably the most significant is namespace addition which probably should have been in 5.

I'm building all my apps for PHP6 right now. And when PHP6 comes out I'll be coding for PHP7.
