$_SESSION problem

Hello,
I have been trying to write information in a session but have been getting problems when using a variable between the brackets.

this works fine... but as soon as i change "bla" to some variable it doesn't work.

$_SESSION["bla"] = $lne;

like so

$_SESSION[$var] = $lne;

pls if anyone can shed some light on this will help alot.

Depends upon what the error you get is AND what the value of $var is.

What does your actual code look like because what you've given is fine.

As I think you doing wrong, you cant use $ two times however you can try in this way

$_SESSION['bla']=$var;

You can create the session var like this:
$_SESSSION[$var] = $val;

It's no different than using it in an array like this:

for($i=0; $i<10; $i++)
{
  $array[$i] = $i*15;
}

basically i used your code bpat1434 because the string was a number of details.
so instead of putting all the details in one string i put each in a line of the array using this piece of code

$_SESSION['bla'][$i] = $somevariable ;
