Limited number of characters in forms?

Im using a content management system, it works fine with smaller records but I have a record that is pretty big and it will not update it when i click submit. Does anyone know if there is a limit on the number of fields you can enter into a text field? and if so is there anyway around it?

There is no limit unless it's set in the HTML form by the maxlength attribute. You can read about it here: Input Info.

The way around it would be to edit the HTML form.

is this problem with database, because in database a limit is set like 100 characters etc. Also databases have its own default limits as well.

Database limits are usually 255 for text and 11 for integer types. It also depends upon the column type. Long Text and Medium Text have different lengths. I think that the real limitation is in the HTML form, and database setup combined.

It was because i was using "GET" changed it to "POST" and it worked fine.
