Pop Up Log In Prompt

Hi Everyone.

I would like to know if there is a way to do a pop up log in promp, simular to the log in with XP or Windows 2000. On my web site I want the users to log in, or register. But do this with a Pop window. So would this be like an HTML within an HTML.

The prompt log in would still need to work with PHP and MySQL for validation.

I'm just not sure how to go about this.

Im not very sure myself but....

Just have a normal login/register screen that you think will fit in a small window. Just create the login/register page normally as if it would be a normal site. Be sure it fits tho!

Then, when the user tries to login have that site popup with set, unchangeable width, and height.

Of course, I could be totally wrong--but, its what I would have done...

I'm not sure about what you'd like to do.
You might use javascript, create a pop-up and validate the data.
Or... you can use HTTP Authentication to get a prompt window.
Please explain a little more what you want to do so we can help!

Hi If any one is interested the below link is what I downloaded to try to use as a login. I can get the Main.php to work fine. But it passes parimeters to Admin.php.

Can't seem to get it to work. But there angain I want the login prompt to come up when the inventory page link is clicked.
