if you add ?=PHPE9568F36-D428-11d2-A769-00AA001ACF42
to the end of any URL that is a PHP page you will see a funny little picture of a dog.

This is one of PHP's built in files which it will serve if some "magic" query strings are used. If you disable expose_php in php.ini, it will be disabled.

Aguably a security flaw as the images and query strings differ slightly though different versions. This means that if the ini setting isn't disabled the php version can be determined.

Wow! That's cool but I get different results - perhaps mine is busted? I get a picture of some programmer dood.

        :p

It's kind of funny, but I don't really see the point. And yes, I see how it could be a security flaw. It'd be safer just to have omitted this thing.

It would've better if it were a picture of dog biting a cat's ass or something like that. (You don't see that very often 🙂)

Totally OT, but when I first saw RikMoncur I thought of the guy from the Young Ones - that's Rik Mayall of course, but heh. It made me chuckle.

I'm surprised nobody got my joke on that...sort of bummed...where has Weedie gone lately?

Help! I'm trapped in a PHP cookie factory!
