Hi guys

How do you set DreamWeaver to show the contents between php's <<<HTML tags??

echo  <<<HTML
<font  color='red'>RED</font>
HTML;

?>

I remember in DW MX anything between my <<<HTML tags is show in the WYSIWYG panel.. it was sooo convinient coz i could easily and visually edit my tables, layouts etc, even if it was inside the php tags....

any ideas?

I haven't used Dreamweaver 8, but I'll install it and see if i can figure it out...

Not sure which WYSIWYG panel you refer to !

A browser will at least spit out your HTML code as is, if you re-code like this:

<?php

echo <<<HTML
<font color='red'>RED</font>
HTML;

the WYSIWYG panel where it's split above & below to show code & output.... and any browser will NOT spit out that code.... it's still considered PHP, so the browser (without PHP installed) will want to download it.

Okay, so I figured it out (I think):

If you look on the bar that has:
[<>] Code | [--] Split | [] Design
you'll see a button right before "Title" that has a lightning bolt. That's "Live Preview". If you click that, it should run your PHP code for you automatically, or on refresh. Now, this will run all of your PHP code. It's probably not what you expect, but it's close!!

You may have to define a site to use with it, but it's a step in the right direction.
