Image Proofing Script

Hi Guys,

I'm new around here and need some help. If you can help I would be really gratefull.

I'm in search of a simple PHP script that can be used as an image proofing script:

The way it works:

On a certain page a password is typed in (for example 'hello')

The script would then result in a new page being displayed that has pulled a graphic called hello.jpg from the server and displayed it.

If the password was 'orange' the graphic would be orange.jpg

Can anyone help? It only needs to be simple.

Is there anything exist from that page (pls send it), or you even you need authentication scripts etc.? Are you sure its a good idea to use passwords as filenames?

It is fine to use passwords as filenames - as I said it needs to be really simple for image proofing purposes only.

I just don't know where to start...

Something simple would be (though it assumes all files are jpgs):

$fileToLoad = $_POST['password'];

$serverPathToFiles = "/home/usr/mysite.com/images/";
$urlPathToFiles = "/images/";

if (file_exists($serverPathToFiles.$fileToLoad."jpg")
{
   echo "<img src=\"".$urlPathToFiles.$fileToLoad.".jpg\">";
} else {
   echo "Sorry.  File not found.";
}

?>

You would need to define the $serverPathToFiles which would be the exact path to the file on the server.

And define $urlPathToFiles which would be the path to the image as it would be in relation to the script calling it, assuming your script was in your HTML root directory.

I can't get this script to load - it returns the error Parse error: parse error, unexpected '{' in /home/workm8/public_html/proof/proof.php on line 9
