Linking windows logon to intranet login

Is it possible to log a users windows login so that when they use intranet sites they dont need to login

I have thought of creating a cookie file 'on-the-fly', when they log into windows, to hold their user info/access type...but this doesnt work if they empty their cookies folder

Does anyone have any tips/pointers about this?? is it possible to store a cookie in a place other than the temporary internet files??

I've been wondering this myself, and your post prompted me to search for a solution. After scanning this url http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/onlamp/2003/09/11/kerberos.html I think this is what you're trying to achieve.

The downside I've not tried it. But I will be possibly next month some time as I'm stacked with work.
