A Var in a Header (Location: )

Hi everyone and i hope the people that reply to this will have an extra special day:

In this main php page, i want it to direct to a new header.
I have an include file with variables in that file.
now i'd like to have this:

header(Location: "$var.php");
exit;

What's the proper format to make this work?

i could swear it's this:

header(Location: "{$var}.php");
exit;

but nope..

header("Location: http://www.example.com");

that example doesn't have a variable inside the header location.

When you see what i'm about to write, you'll know exactly what i'm trying to do. I just dont know the proper format to do it:

header("Location: http://www.$examplepage.com");
exit;

this unfortuntely doesn't work, as i am missing maybe a bracket somehow, perhaps "" somwhere... when dealing with putting a var inside this header loc...
or perhaps it's not possible 🙁

Precisely. The problem with your earlier code snippet is that you passed an unnamed string constant and placed a string immediately after it, when you actually want to pass a string to [man]header/man.

The solution is of course:

header("Location: " . $var . ".php");

But note that $var should contain an absolute URI.

It should work due to variable interpolation. My code snippet simply uses string concatenation.
