[RESOLVED] Using MSSQL Server + MySQL on one Server

Hi all,

How do I get MSSQL Server and MySQL working on the same server?

I have MySQL running but in PHP.INI when I uncomment the extension=php_mssql.dll line MySQL stops working.

Why is this?

I know it shouldn't but any thoughts why it won't work? Using Windows 2003 Server.

Check the windows event log for possible problems maybe.

On my XP development machine I have php in IIS, mysql server 5 and mssql server 2000 all running without problems.

And look through the IIS management console, I think I read somewhere there are some specific settings to enable iis/ms sql server. I don't have w2003 to check myself, sorry.

Keep working at it. I run MS-SQL and MySQL on the same server without difficulty (can access them both via ODBC too). Turn on the options in the PHP.INI file to log error and to display startup errors. That could help.

Tried that but webpage just doesn't load. It times out.

What changes do I have to make to PHP.INI file for SQL Server?

Any ideas why this isn't working?
