I have seen this done on various web sites were they take and make particular words and phrases in a document a link to another document.
I am looking to do this with the site I am working on but am unsure were to start looking for information on how to acheive this plus in my case there are several complcatons. The site has a hugh number of documents that sometimes reference other documents. In most cases the reference is the documents name which can be several words in length or abbreviated and followed by the document section and subsection(s) (example: Document Name 3:2-5). I was thinking that I would use some code to look through each document, as there added, to find the ":" with the numbers on both sides but I thinking it could be fairly difficult to get each documents name or abbreviation as they could be either the full title or the abbreviation. I think I could, some how, make a database table with all possible names and abbreviations (not a pleasant thought) but even that I think may prove to have several complications.
Anyone have any suggestions on were to find some information or how I should go about accomplishing this.
