code doesn't work

basicly this is a little piece of code to have some fun, but it has got it's knickers in a twist. can you help?

$phrase="Google(R) is the fastest growing business but is run by geeks (but that's not a problem). It let's it workers spend 20% of their time doing their own projects, Google Earth, GMail, Google Desktop search. Those were all produced by this idea."

$phrase="ThePeccavi.co.uk is now third on Google if you type in /"thepeccavi/", and fourth if you type /"the peccavi/"! Now we've got to get it to the top..."

That's the code. I've checked it and I can't find any flaws... can someone point out the obvious (probably)?

Yeah.. you're missing every semi-colon. In addition, for your if()'s you want ($num == 5) for comparison. Single equals is assignment.

Parse error is generally a missing semi-colon or quote... check on line 13 and the line before it.

You're putting the ; on the wrong side of the }

Instead of }; try ;}

And also, you're using the wrong slashes for escaping.

Use backslashes \ instead of forward slashes.

problem #1 was

you had }; a number of times when it should have been ;}

problem #2 was

on your quotes marks you had your slashes the wrong way \" is the correct way
