Parse XML every 10 min

Hi all!
I need to parse a XML file, get its contents and update the database tables. Now the problem is that I need to read the XML file every 10 minutes!! how can I automate this and parse the XML file every 10 minutes??

If you're on Windows use Windows Task Scheduler. If you're on linux, use a Cron Job.

Since you can use PHP in a shell script fashion, it's quite easy to write a php script and call that script to open the XML file, parse and update the database.

The problem with what you have suggested is that I don't have an access to the server!!

This really isn't the most desirable method, but you can change the set_time_limit to 0 so the script will never time out, then leave a web browser running 24/7. Have the script refresh itself every 10 minutes.

Outside of scheduled jobs, there's not much else.

You can incorperate it into a webpage, but then it will only get refreshed if someone actually hits the webpage.
