sessions question/ cross browser issues?

i have a page that sets sessions after a user submits a form. The form is submitted through https. Then the session is set and redirects the user to a non-ssl encrypted page. This works fine under internet explorer. But when i use firefox, it will not allow me to redirect to the non-ssl page because the session is not set.

does explorer and firefox handle sessions in different ways? i thought the server handles the sessions?????? 😕 😕

The session is identified by a cookie. When cookies are disabled, it is a PHPSESSID in the web address or in a hidden form field. Try changing some of the cookie parameters in your PHP code or .htaccess. Also take a careful look at what domains the browser is going to. Note, www.domain.com is different from just domain.com. Also look at what kind of cookies your two browsers allow ("originating site only" should be the default these days).
