Been a while since I posted a helpful reference. So after searching for hours for a plain text js navigation menu I finally came across dhtmlgoodies.com, a great little website. Even greater are the terms of use:

You can use all the scripts free of charge, both on private and commercial websites. However, you may NOT redistribute, sell or repost a script for sale without written permission from dhtmlgoodies.com.

Hope the website can aide others.

Colour schemer II is an application on the website and I must say it is very impressive. Have not seen anything like it. You can add colours to a basic page layout to see how they work together. Brilliant, simple yet very useful for those of us who lack skills when it comes to choosing colours :o

That is pretty nice. Where picking colors are concerned I usually refer people to this article regarding the subject. We live in a world where 'web' colors don't really need to exist anymore:

Also, lately I've been using my Pantone books and then finding the html equivalents using the sliders (in which ever app I'm using). I was never aware until recently that #ffff00 (one of my fave colors) is not 100% yellow. #fff20d is the one I've been wanting (and I feel it's so much prettier and less green).
