string character attachment

Hi Gurus

I am having problem in attaching / combining character for the international language like Arabic, chinese etc.
I am sending this string GD function to ceate an image from text. The string character set is windows-1256 / CP1256.

for example I have a arabic string that contains the word

تمكن

When i send this text to the GD or the PDF LIB for pdf generation the word display in saperate character like this

ت م ك ن

is there any solution to combine / attach there saperate character and send it to the GD or PDF LIB correct format.
you'll have to place individual characters (havent get the solution yet), and do
context analysis to determine the proper shape of the glyphs.

Hope someone can help me in it. Shall be very very thanful for the help.

I'm not sure. Perhaps try to strip whitecharacters. Maybe your script is adding spaces. So trim and str_replace the white spaces? Perhaps it might help.

thanks for the reply, actually the script is fine, if you print / echo the string, its print corrctly attached / combined word but whenever send to PDFLIB or GD to create PDF or Image using this string its saperates the character.
