I have a question regarding randomization strings regarding soccer games.
--background--
I have a table called league which has leagues placed in there. The key ID is 'id'.
I have a table called league_teams where I have the teams programmed in there. The key ID for it is 'id'. This allows me to link the Teams with the League they're associated in. Now, leagues have seasons. They are linked via 'id' to the League and have an id themselves called 'lid'. Now I have a table called league_season which has both 'id' and 'lid' along with the season associated with it. Seasons have Divisions are are under league_division with a key of 'id' and associated with the table league_division_seasons so they know which seasons the divisions go to.
What I'm trying to accomplish is (in my mind easy) but I don't know how to begin. When I create a season and teams are established in that season I would like a link/button that would automatically generate the league_schedule.
My fields are link this:
ID = nuke_users(id)
SID = league_season(id)
DID =
TID1 = league_team(id)
TID2 = league_team(id)
SCORE1 = league_schedule(score1)
SCORE2 = league_schedule(score2)
WHENISIT =
PLID = league_arena(id)

All I want to have happen is it look at the league_season to determine which teams are in which division and automatically schedule them to play. But I don't know where to start. Can someone give me a flashlight besides these two wonderful PHP books I have in front of me. I'm specifically getting at things like a menu where say myself can go into the league, select the league.. then ask "How many times do you want each team to play". A drop down of 1-4 (lets say) occurs. Then I can ask "What month do you wish to have these scheduled on? And another dropdown of all 12 months would be seen. Then "Which day (days) do you want games scheduled"?
I then click submit and then automatically the system generates all of the games for that season.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
