I'm trying to create a script that will run from the startup list of a series of network machines. We constantly need to know the software and hardware profiles of machines on our network. We did manage to come across Belarc...so we have the information issue solved. However, unless we run from machine to machine to run a recent inspection of Belarc we are looking at dated material. I figured if I ran a check once a day it would be enough.
Okay, plot laid out... What I need to do is then be able to save the file with the machine name onto a remote server into a specific directory. A .php programmer at work would do it but is too swamped to deal with something with a bottom-line focus. He did show me that php works outside the world of web apps but I don't know much beyond the typical browser MySQL range of capabilities.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks.
