[RESOLVED] Redirect to subdirectory

Hi,

I wonder if any one can help. I have several parked domains on my server and I want to redirect each parked domain to a different subdirectory. How do I do this?

So when some one types in www.thiswebsite.com which is actually on www.mainwebsite.com's server the code directs it to www.mainwebsite.com/thiswebsite

Can't you just login into your domain control panel and point it to go there?

Other than that, i would suggest you make a index.php file on the "thiswebsite" and make it redirect to wherever.

index.php isn't required, but is an option. You can also do this with a .htaccess file:

Options -Indexes +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^/ www.mainwebsite.com/thiswebsite

Or something like that....

But of course the best option is to use your control panel to do the domain forwarding....

I have been trying to build an index.php file for redirection using this code but it doesn't work any hints?

can't use headers after you echo/print anything... once info is sent to the browser, you can't use the [man]header/man function

Just in case anyone else needs this type of redirection here is the code I put in index.php

if ($domain=="www.parkedsite.com"){header('Location:http://www.mainsite.com/example/index.html');
exit;}
else{header('Location:http://www.mainsite.com/oldindex.html');exit;}
?>
