PHP4 on old stei and PHP5 on new site, can it be done?

Hello, I am running on RedHat 9 i686 and wanted to install PHP5. My problem is that I am already running a production website on this machine which is powered by PHP4. I am installing PHP5 for a different website and was wondering if by installing PHP5 that if it would overwrite PHP4 or if they could somehow coexist. Is there anything that I have to do so that I can get them both running on the same machine so that it wouldnt hurt the site that is using PHP4?

I have no first-hand experience but I'd certainly proceed with caution. There are probably ways to get both versions running side by side on the same computer.

I'd be looking into verifying the existing php site under php5, then update the whole computer to php5, or use a different computer for the php5 website.
