Receiving an XML Feed

Greetings, All -

I need to do the following:

• Receive an XML document from a third party who needs to send (post) this information to a secure web address from their script on their server

• Store that XML file received in a folder on my server

• Respond to that request with a received message of true/false via XML

Will I need cURL installed?
What else will I need (e.g. PEAR)?

Is there a script out there already that does this, even it's simplest form?

I would be using the latest version of PHP 4x.

check out simpleXML, shoud do everything you need.

Note: The script will not be going out on the Internet to retrieve the file. The script will need to recived the stream from a "post" to the script, save to the disk locally - send back a true/false response to the offsite machine.

How is that accomplished? Would the XMLwritter PECL package help?
