permissions link error messege ..

Hey Everyone 🙂

been browsing for a while but now have a reason to post :glare: 😉

Heres a strange one ...

I would like to add a user to a hidden section of the forum ...

I click the permissions link in the User Admin bit of the Admin Control panel, type her name in and when normally it would get all the various info up I get a messege instead ....

'Could not access the Gallery Permission for User'

We dont have any user groups set up, just a hidden section and permissions set to various people who can see it ...

Any ideas why that could be at all ... ?

There are'Hidden forums' that can be set up and they may be set up to that various usergroups may see them there are only three user groups that are allowed to view a 'Hidden forum' registered, moderators and administrators. You can create a hidden forum that has certain permissions for these groups. But you would manage the user just like any other user, unless you have come across a Mod that alters phpBB2 some way or the other that is about all you can do with it.

Have you added a Mod to your forum? I have never seen that sort of error, and I am not sure what you are trying to set up unless it is a Mod, then if that is the case I would go to the discussion forum where you downloaded the Mod. phpBB and phpBB Hacks have good forums for that sort of thing.

I have found the offending peice of code ...

It was in admin_ug_auth.php ...

also in there we have a peice of a gallery mod ... for some reason it was incorporating the gallery mod into the admin control panel ... as the gallery has other issues anyway, I deleted the gallery code, and all is well again!
