I got some questions

1)when you want to display the last submited value in a form (text field) i type

<input name="artist" type="text" size="34" value = $_POST[artist] >

Right?

what i must set as value in a upload field??

<input name='photo_filename[]' type='file' class="style22" value =?????? />

2)how i can do the same with a list/menu ???

You can't populate a file input. It would be a security risk if you could. The best thing to do is to check if the file exists on the server with file_exists() and then if it does print a checkbox to offer a new file upload. If it is checked you upload the file selected if not then ignore the file input.

For a list you need to just check if the option value is in say an array you populate with the selected items. If it is then make it 'selected'.

Its my fault...sorry.

i use this in a validate function and i want IF the user forget to fill a field next time that the same page displayed NOT to fill again all fields from the start.
