refresh page code

Hello everyone

ive got a problem with refreshing pages

when i refresh my add programme page the last data entered in the fields go into my database (which i dont want)

i know why this is happening
ive been told i need to redirect my page back to the same page after inputting the data
or there may be some code to get rid of the stored data so when refresh is pressed nothing will happen.

any help on this problem would be great

The trick with the redirect that you mention you have been advised to do, is when you've 'POSTed' your form to your php script, it has done whatever processing it needs to do, and then 'redirected' using a 'GET' request, the user should be able to click the 'Refresh' button as much as they like, since all they will be doing is making the same 'GET' request, therefore not 'POSTing' any data back to your script and avoiding the multiple inserts.

Try using the window reload() function for javascript. This only references the GET elements.
