Any wysiwyg will do. I want to do inline edits to an existing page. there are 14 textareas on the current page. I'd like to change that to simply disply the data in a div, then have a link to edit it. Similar to vBulletin's post editing.
But I am very much stuck on the integration of the editor. Anyone doing this that can help me out?
http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/ <- my preference drop two js lines and all textareas become wysiwy
http://www.solmetra.com/en/disp.php/en_products/en_spaw/en_spaw_about Had some issues configuring it recently got FF support
Or consult this forum's FAQ.
Dropping the wysiwyg isn't the problem. passing the data though AJAX using XMLHTTPRequest seems to be.
It's the inline editing i want the most. I've accomplished it without the RTE, but with it, it won't update.
Are you using a prebuilt framework for the ajax based communication (which one?) or have you written the communication part yourself?
Perhaps try another ajax framework?
I've tried three so far, and the only one that comes close to working is bundled with wikiwyg.
however the editor kinda blows.
I need the robustness of FCKeditor, or even Tinymce.
