Complete Registration System

hi,

i am as new to php as one can be, but someone told me to check this place out so here i am. 🙂

i need help creating a complete registration system with the following requirements:

index.php...

. username
. password
. link to forgotten password
. link to registration.php

registration.php

. username
. password
. confirm password
. email
. location - (they choose one from a dropdown menu)
. register button

errors to check for:
. no duplicate usernames
. no duplicate email address

notes:

. email activation link - after a successful registration they recieve an activation link in an email with an automated pin number (no duplicate pin numbers) - users will use thier pin numbers for various parts of the site.

. they cannot view any page without being logged in

i believe that's about it, i hope someone finds it in thier hearts to help a very newbie to the world of php - thank you all in advance! 🙂

search the boards for email validation (I've answered a topic on it)

google for tutorials on using PHP with mySQL and all of what you want (it's called a user login system). You might even get a few hits with "registration" system, but who knows.

Any questions while you're going through, or problems you run into, that's when you ask for help.

No-one is going to step you through it on here, it takes too long and has been visited many times in tutorials (as shown above with all the links). So there's no point in re-inventing the wheel....
