Hi,

I did post the other week about some code I was having problems with, but seems I've just complicated it all, lol.

I have a login page, with variables $do_user and $do_pass, both login fields.

I have a confirmation login page, which checks data page.

And I have the main control panel page, which I need to check to see if a login session is set.

Is there anyone here who can provide me with a snip of code which does this? I have done everything, apart from the setting of the sessions, checking of the sessions, and destroying of sessions - because when I did it my way, I just over-complicated it for myself.

Any info would be great, thanks!

this will set the session

session_start();
$_SESSION['username'] = $do_user;

this will check the session

session_start();
if (isset($_SESSION['username'])) 
{
      //code goes here

}
else
{
     //code goes here
}

this will delete the session

session_start();
session_unset();
session_destroy()

Thanks. I'm doing something wrong though and I'm confused...

login1.php:

if (IsSet($_SESSION['username']))

	print "you are already logged in and don't need the login form";
}
else
{

Password: <input type=password name=do_pass size=30><br>

and my login2.php file is:

if (IsSet($session['username']))

	$_SESSION['username'] = $do_user;

	print "Thanks for logging in!";
}
else
{
	print "You need to login!";
}

Now, when I go to this page from the following page, even though through the code it says the session is set, I get the "you need to login" message, when really I should be getting the "thanks for logging message".  This confuses me, can anyone help?  Thanks.

Hi, i have a similar problem on another post around here, (i havent got a solution yet) but yours seems that its question of a wrong function...

1) "isset" function should be lowercase
2) on your second page you check if there is log in with

(isset($session['username']))

and it should be
(isset($_SESSION['username'])) see?
