Creating a db using php script only

Guyz I have installed php, apache, and mySQL in my pc. I dont know much about

mySQL so im asking the expert, can I make a database using php only? What are

the codes? the codes in table name? and the fields? 😕

mysql_connect('mysql_database', '','') <-- so I can use my table name 🙂

Yes, you can do that.

You can use the mysql_create_db() PHP function

Cf http://fr2.php.net/manual/en/function.mysql-create-db.php

or even more simply, use the regular mysql_query() PHP function
with a "CREATE DATABASE" SQL query. (for code, look at examples above)

First you have the CREATE DATABASE call and then all the CREATE TABLE calls needed by
your database.

For an even easier way to manage your database(s), you can't go far wrong with phpMyAdmin over at sourceforge, if that helps.
