This is my first posting here - so please be gentle with me!!!!
I was wondering if the following is possible and if so can anyone point me in the right direction of some source/tutorials etc...
What I am looking to do is create an online application that the user could create a layout in stages and layers.
To start with the user could specify the dimensions of the layout (preferably using mm/cm's).
Then the user would draw the background area by clicking and dragging to the required size and then either fill it with a colour or a bitmap image (and ideally scale the bitmap image to required size)
From there the user could add further images or text by clicking and dragging a layer and then choosing the content (colour, image, text).
And so on...
until the user has the layout that they want.
When the layout is complete the user could click a submit/send/save button and all of the variables would be saved and passed into php.
Do you know if this is possible in flash? I'd be really grateful any help that you can offer me on this please I have done a lot of trawling via the usual suspects (google etc...) but to no avail. Or at least nothing that deals with placing/scaling images, embedding fonts etc...
I am not too hot at the terminology of these excercises so maybe I am just asking for the wrong thing 🙁
Hope someone on here has the patience/inclination to offer me some help.
