php with sqlyog and mysql v5.02

hi everyone
please help me.I wanna use php with sqlyog and mysqlv5-02.i have got the software and installed.i am unable to use sql yog to make data base.i am not able to set up the connection to mysql host. i have use port no3306. user name-ROOT . mysql host name LOCALHOST. I am using widows xp and i am a student working on a project for submission.please please help me at the earliest

Why not use phpMyAdmin tool to create databases & tables.It,s far more easy to use.U may check mysql 3.23 also with sqlyog.
