Automatically adding new subpage help

Hi everyone
I am trying to create a website where people can sign up to gain some webspace and easy to use templates for website design. I would like for their websites to be located at www.mydomain.com/customers_page. Ideally, they would submit their information, and then their page would automatically be created, with their first and last name as the page name. This default page would have the templates for them to then create their website. How do I go about setting this type of system up? Is PHP the best method? I am using dreamweaver for my website design..any help or recommended reading would be appreciated.

PHP is probally your best shot bc its easy to learn and very functional. www.php.net is php main site and you can find the manual there, www.hotscripts.com is probally the best place for php scripts and tutorials. Good luck
