[RESOLVED] Showing data from db as hyperlink

Hello everyone

Im hoping some can help me with this problem please?

well im retrieving data from a database and putting it in a table
what i want is for the programme title to be a hyperlink
the code i have at present is below:

While ($rec = mysql_fetch_array($result)) {
	echo("<tr>");
	echo("<td><div align=\"center\"><A HREF=\" . $rec["prog_title"] . "\">" . $rec["prog_title"] . "</A><br>\n</div></td>");
	echo("<td><div align=\"center\">" . $rec["prog_ucas"] . "<br>\n</div></td>");
	echo("<td><div align=\"center\">" . $rec["prog_type"] . "<br>\n</div></td>");
	echo("<td><div align=\"center\">" . $rec["mode"] . "<br>\n</div></td>");
	echo("<td><div align=\"center\">" . $rec["acred_body"] . "<br>\n</div></td>");

Im not 100% sure this can be done
but i have done it making returned values email links, so was hoping could make values hyperlinks
any help would be great

U have an error on this line:

echo("<td><div align=\"center\"><A HREF=\" . $rec["prog_title"] . "">" . $rec["prog_title"] . "</A><br>\n</div></td>"); 

it should be like this:

echo("<td><div align=\"center\"><A HREF=\"{$rec['prog_title']}\">{$rec['prog_title']}</A><br>\n</div></td>");  

And btw, why do u use <div> in <td> tags, u can simply write:

<td align="center">Some content...</td>

but its still not working
im not getting any errors, but i wasnt at first

but the programme title still isnt a hyperlink

    echo ("<td align=\"center\">{$rec['mode']}</td>"); 
    echo ("<td align=\"center\">{$rec['acred_body']}</td>");
    echo ("</tr>"); 
}

And one question, does your sql query returns any result?

it s still not working

im still not getting any errors but the value isnt changing to a hyperlink

has it got something to do with my code being a search facility?

ps to answer your question yeah it returns 1 result
but sine its a search facility if the form is left blank and the search button pressed there is quite a few results returned

does this cause a problem?

i wil ltry and explani what my code is

well i have a search form that has 3 fields programme title, programe type and programme mode which are check boxes

when a user either enters a value into one of none of these and clicks search button a table appears showing data about their search

and what im trying to do is when the programme title appears for it to be a hyperlink to another page, page which i havent created yet

the results i recieve from the search are correct

Is this the info u wanted?

should be like this:

<a href=\"{$url_to_your_page}\">
