mysql php connection

any body to help me i am using IIS windows 2000 when i try to connect to my sql error apears

Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in f:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ems\index.php on line 5

i have read too much on this forum but nothing is working

any body know right soulution plz help

Yes, enable the mysql extension in PHP. Not sure if it's any different, but in the PHP.ini file, look for a line that says:
;extension=php_mysql.dll

Just uncomment that line, and restart IIS (restart the server so PHP is re-"compiled" again) and try again.

Uncommenting it just means removing the semi-colon (😉 from the front of the line.

i have uncommented it but following error appears

Unable to load dynamic library './php_mysql.dll' - The specified procedure could not be found. in Unknown on line 0

where are your extensions? In "./" or "./ext"? make sure the extension directory is what you expect it to be in php.ini

i have checked extension php_mysql.dll is in the

f:\php\ext\php_mysql.dll

and i have mentioned same path in php.ini file

extension_dir = f:\php\ext\php_mysql.dll

but still same error apears

any furhter help plz?

You need to check the " extension_dir " directive in the php.ini file.

By default it's :

extension_dir = "./"

So you can try :

extension_dir = "f:\php\ext"
