i want to make backup section of mysql data like export in phpmyadmin. when the user click on the button the file .sql (the backup of database) will be download.

any one can help me how do i create this?

you must create an script that generates a text file.

Start sending headers to the browser for a text file and the go sending the contents.

For the consents will be usefus SQL sentences like SHOW TABLES FROM db and SHOW CREATE TABLE tablename

Then start making SELECTs and generating corresponding INSERTS.

It's not as hard as it seems indeed.

You should not try to use PHP for this - you will hit all sorts of problems. Instead, just use mysqldump to dump the database into a file on your server. It's much more reliable.

PHPMyAdmin does not do this very well, and I've often seen it silently truncate backups if an error happens.

btw , you can't use mysqldump from php code because you will get timeout error !
and you can't use exec,system under safe mode 🙁
