Can someone point out the best method to check that a string is only alpha-numeric using an if/then statement. I was thinking ereg, but I've never used it, and frankly, it's a bit intimidating. Thanks for the help!
The best method is [man]ctype_alnum/man, if the ctype functions are available (and they usually are).
