i need some php help

Hello am trying to create an mp3 webiste for a php course am taking i'm trying to call the extention for the mp3 file i want to play (the root of it being stored in the database under location for example C:\albums\song.mp3 so when i call the variable that its stored under it will acess the extention and play the song threw a hyperlink [a href="$location"] on the site) now the problem i'm facing is that when i click the variable thats being called nothing appears its just no action wat so ever.
am sure i have the extention for the songs correct in my database, and i used index right because when i call the $location variable (where the file extentions are stored) it shows me the right name of the file thats there..but it still wont produce any music..
can anyone lend some expiriance ? if anything is unclear please let me know

Hi,

What you need to do is create an M3u file for each of the songs that you want to play. An M3u file is basically a small text file that tells the browser to open and play the MP3. So, instead of linking to the MP3, you would want to link to the M3U file that, in turn, points to the song.
