To be honest, I'm not sure what you mean by "unique database". If you are looking for a generic database design, that's not a big issue, but you need to define better what you want your shopping cart to manage.

Also, you need to decide what you want to keep for long term storage vs. simply what you want to keep for the session. Example: Credit card info should only be stored for the session, never retained. Customer information and their orders might be retained for longer storage.
